Chiefs Super Bowl Parade: The Route and Parking

All of Kansas City is ready for the Chiefs Super Bowl parade. The Chiefs Kingdom has been preparing for this since the AFC championship game. Here is everything you need to know about Wednesday’s festivities.

Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl Parade route

The Route

The parade route is going to run down Grand to the Union Station rally at 1:30. There will be a larger crowd than for the Royals World Series parade. The Chiefs Super Bowl parade will have between 500,000-1,200,000 people in attendance. Yes, that is a wide range but it will be cold and possibly snowing.

The Time

The Chiefs Super Bowl parade starts at 11:30 and will conclude at Union Station around 1:30. There will be a rally at that point with several viewing areas of the stage. The rally is predicted to last one hour.

What To Bring

Alcohol consumption in public is prohibited. There will be no chairs, coolers, or larger items permitted on the bus system. Strollers will be folded before getting on the bus. At the parade there will be 700 bathrooms along the route. A lot of businesses are closed, it is recommended that you bring any snacks or drinks you may need or want. Of course, wear your Chiefs gear.

Where To Park

It is predicted that parking will fill up by 2:00am on Wednesday morning. Parking and walking several blocks will not be uncommon. There is a list of parking areas that the KC shuttle will be picking up participants from. They include: HyVee Arena (KCMO), Worlds of Fun (KCMO), Oak Park Mall (Overland Park, Kan.), 47th & State Transit Center (Kansas City, Kan.), Swope Park/Zoo Parking Lot (KCMO/Jackson County).

Be safe and enjoy this victory, Chiefs Kingdom!
