Aeration and seeding improve the overall health of your lawn.
Aeration allows air, water and nutrients to reach grass roots. It also provides space for roots to stretch and grow.
This service reduces soil compaction, improves the process of fertilization and increases oxygen movement.
Seeding is the process of planting grass seeds directly on existing turf. This service fills in bare spots and improves the density of grass.
Residential Aeration & Seeding
Our technicians go over your yard twice to ensure thorough aeration. Next, they distribute seeds all over your lawn. Our crew applies seed at a heavier rate in bare areas. We recommend aerating and seeding your lawn during the fall. Seeding in the fall provides a cool environment for seeds to grow and create deep roots. The new seeds will need to be watered for three to four weeks. This service also helps your grass retain better color and texture by enhancing the variety of your lawn. Aeration and seeding will better equip your yard to tolerate droughts and hot temperatures.
Another service that we offer is slice seeding, also known as verticutting. This is the process of cutting slices into the soil while directly applying seed. We recommend slice seeding if you have a large bare area of your yard. This achieves a higher germination rate than just aerating and seeding. If you have a sizable bare section, we recommend sod. It can also cover hills or areas where erosion is a concern. While seeding is best during the fall, sod can be installed year round. Check out our sod page for additional details.
